Additional information may be found at or . The Citi Investment Research & Analysis (CIRA) business is a division of the Institutional Clients Group sector at Citi. CIRA is an industry leader in company coverage with a universe of more than 2,890 stocks and more than 110 corporate credits in approx 58 countries, with global capabilities across multiple research disciplines: fundamental; macro; strategy; and quantitative. CIRA is committed to providing best in class, pertinent and timely investment research that includes both a regional perspective and a global view/implication for Citi’s clients. With approximately 370 analysts/strategists in 23 locations throughout the world, consistently measured on quality, accuracy and client service. This position is an Operations role supporting CIRA.
Description Citi Investment Research and Analysis (CIRA) is an industry leader in investment research globally. With over 270 analysts covering over 2700 companies worldwide, we provide our investing clients with comprehensive research analysis of companies, industries, and the world's markets. The Information Technology Strategy (ITS) group within the CIRA organization oversees all technology initiatives that affect the department. Its members liaise with business communities in all operating regions and CIRA Technology to identify and implement technology solutions best suited for the department. ITS is currently seeking a Senior Business Analyst/Project Manager to manage a portfolio of technology initiatives, including disclosure generation, authoring templates/workflow, and data feeds management. Specific responsibilities of this role are focused primarily on the distribution/workflow component of our Research technology infrastructure.
Establish and monitor project requirements, priorities, impacts and deadlines. Understand their implications to the CIRA business, and deliver appropriate global solutions that satisfy all regional businesses.
Oversee and manage all aspects of the project life cycle. Ensure co-ordination between all parties involved.
Manage expectations of all project stakeholders.
Ensure smooth, efficient, cost-effective use and delivery of technology.
Gather and understand performance metrics, and actively work to improve service and make more efficient use of technology.
Fully support other ITS project managers (and vice-versa), in the process gaining a full understanding of the global research business.
Understand industry trends and how they affect CIR technology systems.
Actively manage the allocated budget, and contribute to the budgeting process.
Work with the information security officer and legal/regulatory staff to ensure appropriate corporate, department, and/or regulatory standards are met.
Perform a business and technology advisory role for all projects involving businesses that interact with CIRA, such as Equity Sales/Trading, Fixed Income/Economic Research etc.
All of the above responsibilities are to be achieved through partnership with CIRA Technology. Qualifications Key Requirements/Core Competencies 8+ years of work experience, including 3+ years in technology business analysis in a global operation, and 3+ years as a project manager responsible for global, multi-tier, technology projects. Bachelors degree required Excellent client servicing skills Good understanding of technology (both hardware and software); ability to assess the validity of a technological solution and its cost estimate. Proven communications skills (both verbal and written) to build trusting partnership with business clients, technology team members and other stakeholders to deliver solutions. Ability to summarize/explain/present requirements and technology solutions in non-technical terms. Excellent negotiation, relationship management, and conflict resolution skills. Ability to broker agreements amid priority conflicts across multiple stakeholders. Understanding of the Equity Research business is highly desired. Experience with Equity Research systems - authoring, financial database, distribution, disclosures - is a strong advantage. Excellent Word and Excel skills are required. Ability to work within a geographically disperse team environment and positively affect the team dynamics. Experience in quality assurance of technology projects. Self-motivated, highly-focused, detail-oriented as well as a team player with high energy levels and the desire to learn and progress within the company.
