Senior Accountant Location: Norfolk, VA
Senior Accounting Analyst We are currently seeking a Senior Accounting Analyst to join a dynamic and growing company in Norfolk, Virginia. This position will be responsible for all accounting-related activities including revenue cycle management, general ledger management and financial reporting. This is a hands-on position that requires a manager’s mind-set. The successful candidate will possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities: Required: * 8+ years experience in accounting or bookkeeping * Hands-on experience with invoicing, receivables/collections and revenue recognition * General ledger management, including accruals, deferrals and amortization schedules * Experience preparing and analyzing financial statements (weekly, month-end, ad hoc, etc.) * Strong attention to detail * Strong MS Excel skills Desired: * Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field * Business-to-business setting experience (either corporate or public accounting, esp. audit) * Experience or ability to manage staff (accounting clerk/s) * Experience or ability to thrive in a rapid growth environment (e.g., flexible) * Healthcare and/or consulting industry experience * Contract/Project management experience (in relation to accounting and revenue recognition) * Quickbooks experience This is a great opportunity to join a company that is positioned for growth!
