Job Description The purpose of this position is to support the financial reporting process for First Data Corporation. The role entails the analysis, consolidation and reporting of the results of operations, financial position and cash flows of the company for both internal and external reporting purposes. It requires detailed analysis of data submitted by business units and of the consolidated results. The position also involves the preparation of quarterly reports (Form 10-Q) and the annual report (Form 10-K) filed with the SEC. The position will serve as a liaison between corporate reporting and other organizations including business unit and shared services accounting groups, tax, finance, treasury and investor relations. Additionally, this position may involve the preparation of benefit plan financial statements or business unit stand-alone financial statements.

Job Specific Responsibilities Primary responsibilities include:
Monthly and quarterly analytical review of business unit balance sheets and cash flow statements to identify potential exposures, classification and/or possible GAAP/FDC policy issues.
Prepare monthly/quarterly financial statements and associated analyses (i.e., income statement, balance sheet or cash flows) for internal and external reporting.
Prepare and/or assist with preparation of disclosures made in the Company's Forms 10-Q and Forms 10-K.
Assist with special projects.
Assist in the coordination of internal reporting requirements from business units.

Candidate Requirements Bachelors degree in Accounting required
3-5 years experience in accounting, reporting or auditing required
Previous experience in financial reporting or public accounting preferred
Ability to function well in a team environment
Ability to work overtime to meet critical deadlines
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
CPA or CPA candidate preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word required
Proficiency in Hyperion helpful
