Lincoln Financial Advisors (LFA) is the retail distribution force for Lincoln Financial Group. LFA supports a sales force of financial planners located throughout theUnited Statesreporting through regional planning groups administering financial planning, sales, and operational support. The Broker-Dealer Operations division is located primarily inFort Wayne,INand is responsible for the establishment of new accounts, client money movement, trade execution, and the technical administration of all transactional and compliance functions required to support the sales and service of LFA financial planners and their clients.
TheLFAServiceCenteris a highly visible, fast paced team responsible for providing customer service to incoming callers (planners and clients). TheLFAServiceCentereducates and trains registered representatives and their clients, builds partnerships between internal departments, and provides detailed client cost basis information about securities. Additionally, the team is responsible to participate in multiple project initiatives.
The incumbent must possess strong customer service skills, the ability to work in a fast paced team environment, have an awareness of risk management procedures, and be able to effortlessly multitask between initiatives using numerous computer systems when both timeliness and accuracy are critical components. This role requires the incumbent to possess clear, concise, and accurate communication skills as well as the desire to quickly develop an expansive knowledge of policies, products, and procedures relating to the securities industry and broker-dealer services. Job Requirements * Maintains a broad knowledge base of the securities industry (regulatory, markets, products, processes, and operational methodologies) and technology systems * Develop a strong understanding of customer service and provide assistance to both planners and clients related to LFA policies, products, and procedures of trading, new business, cashiering, transfer of assets, and asset management programs * Ability to use risk management procedures to quickly assess and take action to minimize customer and firm risk * Investigate, research, and correct issues relating to erroneous processing requests, compliance violations, system errors, client account statements, and tax issues * Educate and train registered representatives and their clients by determining the true need, providing alternative solutions, and explaining the specific details of each product, process, or service. * Effectively communicates information, both orally and in written form. * May participate in broker-dealer process projects that are moderate to large in scope, may lead broker-dealer projects that are narrow to moderate in scope.
