Description
The position is with our Walnut Creek environmental services group which provides services to public, private and federal clients in the areas of environmental site assessment and remediation, environmental compliance, sustainability and environmental oversight during construction.
Job Description
* Perform site assessments and participate in remediation design and field activities * Assist project managers with environmental complaince issues involving air and water permitting including air emissions, hazardous materials/waste, and water quality issues * Participate in sustainability projects, including greenhouse gas inventories and climate action plan development * Prepare text and tables for environmental reports and studies * Field work as necessary * Field inspection during construction activities Qualifications:
Bachelors or masters degrees in chemical, civil or environmental engineering, or geology or environmental sciences; if degree is in engineering must have EIT and must be eligible to obtain PE license within 2 years of hire; if degree is in geology, must be eligible to obtain PG license within 4 years of hire. An ideal candidate will have 2 to 4 years of experience in environmental consulting or regulatory field with strong interest in environmental regulations, environmental compliance, environmental assessment and remediation. It is estimated that the position may have 25% + time for field work activities. Experience in MS Office is a must; experience in AutoCADD is a plus. This position may lead to project management opportunities for the chosen candidate.
