Position Overview Proactively solicit new business and manage existing clients. Support the Branch Director with development of local market sales plans. Travel within assigned territory and develop extensive customer contacts and memberships in related professional associations such as MPI and the local CVB. Key Job Responsibilities (Weight %) Consultative Selling (30%) Meet or exceed an individual annual sales quota. Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients and potential clients. Demonstrate sound communication and relationship management skills in all customer contacts. Prepare and present clear, compelling and persuasive sales presentations that demonstrate PSAV’s value proposition and core capabilities to our customers. Negotiate terms, conditions, pricing and commitments that enhance PSAV profitability and the business relationship with the customer. Business Development (25%)
Work with the Branch Director to create a business plan for new local sales. Develop and act upon sales opportunities across a variety of local channels – the corporate market, local associations, non-PSAV hotels, special event venues, etc. Work with local PSAV DETs to increase PSAV market share of hotel business through lead sharing. Coordinate marketing efforts in order to raise the profile of PSAV in the local market place. Account Management (20%) Provide outstanding customer service from initial client contact through post-show follow up. Act as primary PSAV representative with clients on-site. Attend pre-conference meetings; respond to client’s concerns, questions and issues. Customer & Industry Relations (15%) Establish relationships and actively network through participation in local and convention associations such as PCMA, ASAE, MPI, and IAEE in order to develop the market. Information Management (10%)
Report on sales process activities, including: lead tracking, call log management, CRM software, commission requests, expense reports, submission of timely bids or proposals, job modeling, maintaining organized show files and profit forecasting. Communicate event requirements and client preferences to production team. Required Skills
Job Requirements * BS/BA degree * Minimum 2 years of sales experience, preferably in the meetings and events space * Demonstrated excellent customer relationship management skills * Strong written and verbal communication skills * Computer proficiency required including MS Office.
