Summary
Works directly with Sales Directors on one or more of the following:
*
Provides strategic support to Sales Directors on Request for Proposal (RFP), presentations, prospect visit management, prospect meetings, and/or contracts
*
Serves as a liaison to develop combined sales strategy with - emphasis on pricing - with other TSYS Merchant Solutions departments and/or companies and other partners (vendors) who are developing new product and services.
*
Consults with the TSYS legal team to develop strategies around content related to contract and amendment templates
*
Consults with Finance on maintenance and updating of sales pricing tools for all sales channels
*
Understands interchange qualification rules and regulations as defined by Mastercard, Visa, and Discover
*
Maintains strong understanding of Mastercard/Visa/Discover rules and regulations related to compliance and consults with sales professionals on leveraging that knowledge on behalf of the prospect
*
Ability to understand and analyze merchant processing statements from all competitors and consult on where there is opportunity for improved qualifications or better pricing from TMS over competitor.
*
Ability to understand portfolio analysis and provide consultation on issues related to rate increases and rate changes.
Responsibilities
*
Attends prospect planning meetings, conference calls, etc. with Sales Director.
*
Assists Sales Directors in development of sales plans by participating in all calls and communications with prospect.
*
Interacts with clients/prospects and/or vendor partners.
*
Serves as sales a point of contact for Corporate Legal and Pricing teams.
*
Attends and actively participates in meetings/calls, including off site visits, with Sales Director when needed to provide support and document presentations related to pricing and interchange qualifications.
*
Develops, researches, and prepares Total Cost of Acceptance documentation to prospect.
*
Drafts and finalizes special documentation requests, white papers, product descriptions, etc. based on individual prospect needs.
*
Consults with Marketing to create and manage Marketing Plan for sales offerings.
*
Possesses a global knowledge of all applicable TSYS Merchant Solutions products, applications, modules, and systems.
*
Develops and maintains strategic relationships with senior level executives and key decision makers within client and TSYS Merchant Solutions organizations.
*
Consults on negotiations of deal points and contract issues with all involved parties (clients, attorneys, product owners, vendors, etc.) to achieve optimal results.
*
Consults with sales staff in prospecting and identifying clients and products effectively to determine the opportunities that present the most revenue and benefit for TSYS Merchant Solutions.
*
Stays abreast of industry trends and competitive products in order to strategically identify and target TSYS Merchant Solutions sales opportunities.
*
Consults with TSYS Merchant Solutions corporate marketing team in the development of presentations, collateral material and communication tools to support marketing efforts.
*
Defines methods to provide revenue projection, product penetration rates and sales forecasts for senior executive management.
*
Stays abreast of industry trends as well as the economic and political trends in order to strategically identify opportunities and threats to the strategic plans.

Education/Experience

Four year college degree and 4 or more years professional experienceor6 or more years professional experience is required. Appropriate TSYS experience is preferred.
