SADSBU WORKOUT OFFICER II
Job Summary: Independently administer and work out active and charged off commercial credits to up to $100m and under limited supervision administer and work out active and charged off credits $100m to $300m with the purpose of minimizing credit losses and legal exposure while controlling collection expenses. Credits up to $500m can be assigned but typically credits range up to $300m. This position generally manages the smaller and less complex credits referred to SADSBU for workout/recovery.
Major Responsibilities: Manages the collection process for an assigned portfolio(s) of commercial credits including risk grading credits and managing accrual status. The portfolio under management is approximately $1.5mm to $4mm.
Prepares and submits on schedule to the SADSBU Manager and other Bank officers all required reports reflecting the current credits being managed. Prepares SAD problem loan reports that accurately reflect the current status of credits, risk grade justifications, issues that may affect loss potential and workout strategies with appropriate action triggers.
Negotiates with borrowers, management and personnel of debtor companies and attorneys, to secure appropriate workout arrangements. Typically requires a minimum of three to five years previous work experience in commercial loan collection and workouts or three years previous experience as a commercial loan officer for small and middle market credits. Intermediate accounting skills with experience in analyzing personal and business financial statements and tax returns. Working knowledge in foreclosure of personal and real property; Bankruptcy Chapters 7, 11, 13; and the litigation process and post judgment creditor remedies. Well-developed verbal, written and interpersonal skills, strong math aptitude, well developed organizational skills.
