Risk Management Manager Job Description: The Risk Management Manager will provide subject-matter expertise, business analysis, and support for existing systems and several significant projects that Risk Management is undertaking to meet current risk and Basel needs. A key focus for this position will be to work closely with Treasury and the business to understand, define and develop approaches to meet regulatory requirements related to counterparty risk for trading products (Securities Trading and Financing transactions, derivatives, etc.), including requirements related to Basel, economic capital, CCPs, stress testing, and to understand and participate in the development of approaches to meet the requirements of Dodd-Frank.
Risk Management Manager Minimum Candidate Qualifications: -- Bachelor's Degree, Finance or Quantitative -- 7+ years risk experience in a capital markets environment -- 2+ years management experience -- Experience with a variety of asset classes and types of trading products preferably in a Risk Management role -- Experience/understanding of economic and regulatory capital related to counterparty risk exposure; familiarity with Basel proposals and requirements -- Exposure to credit risk (PFE, EL, credit capital) and/or market risk (valuation, monte carlo, greeks, VaR) methodologies and systems -- Experience using front-office trading systems and vendor market data applications; Familiarity using various mathematical, statistical, and risk packages (e.g., MATLAB, FinCAD, SAS, KMV) -- Familiarity with credit approval organization and processes -- CFA/PRM/FRM certification
