Title: Risk Advisory Services Professional - Northern California QAR Project Location: California-San Francisco The Northern California Risk Advisory Services practice of Jefferson Wells is seeking an internal audit professional with Quality Assurance Review (QAR) experience to support our clients with an assessment of their internal audit department (IAD), including its infrastructure, staff experience, and effectiveness, and compliance with the IIA Standards. This individual will work under the general supervision of the Director while completing assigned projects and maintaining the appropriate level of utilization. The ideal candidate will have the following experience: * Oversight of an internal audit function * QAR experience looking at all aspects of the internal audit function * CPA/CIA certifications Professionals (i.e., Consultants) at Jefferson Wells are the driving force for our success. They bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to our various service offerings and are responsible for delivering service on assigned client engagements within their unique area of expertise. Professionals follow the Jefferson Wells' methodology and service excellence standards while working with clients. Professionals are known for their diverse industry and management experience, ability to grasp and analyze challenging client requirements, and ability to work on a team or independently to deliver exceptional results. * Bachelors degree in Accounting and/or Finance required * CPA or CIA preferred * Minimum of 10 years experience including a mix of public accounting (Big 4 preferred) and internal audit experience * Recent and specific experience in Quality Assessment Reviews preferred including assessment of the efficiency and effectiveness of the department based on established standards * Responsible for the oversight of an Internal Audit function a plus * Must have demonstrated problem resolution skills and the ability to effectively work with cross functional teams and individuals at all levels of the organization * Strong written and verbal communication skills including strong work paper documentation skills
