REO Office Analyst/Associate Position Description Title: RE - Analyst/Associate Reports To: Asset Manager/VP Department: REO/Loan Location: New York, NY
Positional Summary: .The REO Analyst/Associate will play a key role in providing analytical support to Asset Managers. He / she will assist in maximizing the performance and value of a Commercial Real Estate Portfolio that will primarily consist of Hotel Loans and Properties within a portfolio of CMBS. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: The Analyst/Associate will provide support to Asset Manager(s) responsible for the special servicing of non-performing loans and REO assets. Specific duties will include: .Build computer models to project various financial returns and / or property values utilizing Argus and Excel. .Perform market research including comparable property and industry analyses .Perform financial statement and operating statement analyses. .Assist in the management of REO operating budgets. .Obtain, track and update various financial information for REO properties: capital improvements, real estate taxes, and insurance requirements. .Work with third-party property managers and sales and leasing brokers to assist in marketing and closing of property sales and property operations. .Assist in the preparation of business plans, committee write-ups, and asset valuations. .Ensure Portfolio of Assets is in compliance with regulatory documents and policy and procedure manual. .Update CAMS Database and communicate with Master Servicers on an ongoing basis. Skills/Experience Requirements: .An undergraduate degree with a major or substantial coursework in accounting, finance, or economics. Undergraduate degree in Hotel Administration a plus. .Familiarity with the Uniform System of Accounts for the Lodging Industry. .Hotel consulting and/or management experience-feasibility, appraisal, revenue management. .2 to 5 years of work experience in commercial real estate property management, development, and/or brokerage with an excellent understanding of the valuation process for income producing properties. Hotel experience preferred. .Highly developed analytical skills including the ability to create complex spreadsheets and financial analyses. .Outstanding writing skills and oral presentation ability. .Proficiency in analyzing property operating statements, rent rolls, and borrower financial statements. .Familiarity with commercial property leases and property operations. .High integrity, the ability to communicate articulately and concisely, strong interpersonal and partnership skills, achievement drive, and intellectual curiosity. .Proficiency in Microsoft Office and il your Resume to CW Financial Services
