Requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or Accounting. Master’s degree preferred.
* Minimum of 7 years experience as a Commercial Loan Officer/Relationship Manager.
* Thorough understanding and experience in analyzing financial data including financial statements, personal and corporate tax returns, proforma’s, accounting standards/concepts.
* Ability to analyze and understand business plans, market data, industry trends.
* Thorough understanding of C&I and CREM loan structuring criteria.
* Exceptional sales, interpersonal and negotiating skills.
* Proven track record of sales success in selling credit and non-credit related products.
* Proficient PC skills.
Must adhere to pertinent laws, regulations, First Niagara’s Compliance Policy and external compliance requirements.
Job Description:
* Meet or exceed all established goals and objectives.
* Demonstrate exceptional initiative within the sales process.
* Interact professionally with all internal service providers and product specialists in providing exemplary customer service.
* Sound judgment and decision making skills. Ability to assist other team members as appropriate.
* Build alliances and partnerships with product specialists and across lines of business to “sell deeper into relationships” and to exceed cross sale objectives.
* Excellent knowledge of the bank’s products and services.
* Demonstrate exceptional client retention/interaction attributes Strong organizational skills and flexibility.
* Ability to manage multiple high priorities and deadlines. Strong attention to detail.
* Shall maintain acceptable credit quality, past dues and credit exceptions.
* Highly visible in the community through Board participations of prominentCRAand non-profit organizationso Shall develop new credit and non-credit relationships for the Bank through a structured external new business development program and across lines of businesso Shall effectively cross sell deeper into existing relationships and across lines of business by examining and anticipating needso Shall monitor portfolio performance to include adherence to loan covenants, collection of accounts, timely receipt of financial information, annual reviews, appropriate risk gradingo Independently provide oversight and/or prepare credit approvals, renewals and extensions for new and existing relationshipso Shall be a high performer in understanding and exceeding individual and team objectives
