Regional Operations Supervisor (ROS)
 
Position Purpose:
This position will be focused on providing leadership and managing the day to day performance of redbox Kiosks and merchandising teams in a defined territory. At redbox, we work hard but have fun.
                                                             
ROS Responsibilities fall into 6 general categories: 
1.      Manage People
·         Ensure appropriate division of tasks and distribution of workload among team members. 
·         Interact, develop and maintain positive working relationships with client partners, customers, staff personnel and corporate staff.
·         Recruit, train, manage and develop team of field representatives covering a specific geographical market.
·         Drive/manage people engagement initiatives.
2.      Manage Kiosks
·         Continually monitor and manage territory performance based on the successful achievement of company goals.
·         Monitor reliability of network infrastructure and operating systems.
·         Manage the installation, configuration, servicing, troubleshooting, and repairs of the company's electronic and mechanical equipment at the customer's site, including ensuring that hardware and software components are upgraded as required.
3.      Manage Product
·         Maintain organized and accurate inventory accountability of product and parts within the region.
·         Ensure timely and efficient returns to vendor.
·         Manage the distribution and thinning of inventory appropriately to kiosks in their market.
4.      Manage Costs
·         Optimize routes of field operators for maximum efficiency as well as expeditious resolution to outstanding issues.
·         Manage appropriate staffing requirements and provides written business case justification for all requisitions.
·         Manage work schedules and reconcile weekly actual miles driven and time worked against Cost of Distribution model.
5.       Manage Process
·         Identify, develop, train and enforce standard operating procedures which facilitate work  efficiencies while achieving company goals.
6.      Manage Projects
·         Make independent and effective decisions regarding matters relating directly to general operations of assigned territory.
 
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
·         Strong supervisory skills including coaching, mentoring, motivating, delegating and managing a team of employees towards improved performance.
·         Solid ability to plan for and execute operational objectives.
·         Ability to develop and implement processes and procedures to ensure an efficient and effective team.
·         Ability to effectively manage multiple processes and small projects at one time.
·         A passion for interacting in a positive and creative manner with customers, team members and developing partners.
·         Demonstrates strong analytical, organizational, multi-tasking and problem solving skills.
·         The ability to interpret and act on a variety of information and instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
·         Be able to troubleshoot and repair system components requiring in-depth knowledge and understanding of company's equipment and specifications and Windows operating system. This implies a high degree of mechanical competency.
·         Demonstrates a high-level of computer literacy, including proficiency in web-based software applications, the Windows Operating System as well as office productivity applications such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Access.
·         Demonstrates high-level oral and written communication skills.
·         Demonstrates a high degree of self-motivation.
·         Has the ability to remain composed under high pressure.
·         Has the ability to address and diplomatically resolve interpersonal conflict.
·         Has a solid and unwavering belief in good ethics and honesty.
·         Must have ability to drive throughout territory as required.

 
Experience / Education:
·         1-2 years direct supervisory experience.
·         Proven track record as an effective supervisor of field employees preferred.
·         A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent required. Associate degree or equivalent preferred.
·         Background in remote location people and process management preferred.
·         Prefer 3-5 years of computer, computer operations, network, communications, or related technical experience.
·         Prior experience in retail, merchandising, or customer service.
