Title: Regional Manager - Life Sales Office Pacific Northwest Location: Washington-Bellevue The Hartford is looking for a Life Sales Office Manager that would support Individual Life's growth initiatives and carry direct accountability for the successful results of their office. The focus of this role will be fourfold: Sales office operational efficiency, recruiting, training, and sales staff development. As a member of field management, the LSOM is an active participant in discussion of the Life Sales Office business plan sales strategy providing input on distribution channel assignments, Account Executives, Regional Life Consultants & Regional Marketing Specialist training, recruiting needs, and other factors influencing the success and growth of the office. WHAT ARE THE REPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION Promote Operational Effectiveness - · Manage a sales office to a budget looking for creative ways to reduce operating costs while not impacting growth potential. · Manage use of tools and resources to maximize productivity and growth and minimize unnecessary cost. · Support ILD training and development initiatives - provide feedback on new needs as well as effectiveness of development opportunities available.
Hire, develop, and retain the most effective sales professionals, includingAccount Executive (AEs)andRegional Marketing Specialists (RMSs) · Ensure that AEs and RMSs hired receive the training and development they need to be effective sales people that keep up with product and industry advances as well as advancement in sales technique. · Help create and implement AE and RMS business plans for territory penetration and firm coverage. · Engage in performance management activities: set clear goals, provide coaching and mentoring, provide regular feedback & performance assessment for AEs and RMSs. · Ensure that all field sales staff follows The Hartford compliance procedures, rules of conduct and expense guidelines. Account Executives and Regional Marketing Specialists: · Work with RVP on hiring strategies and practices that identify and attract the best sales professionals. This includes: · Selecting those individuals with the technical and relationship skills, experience & contacts to support aggressive growth initiatives. · Promoting diversity
Attain and Exceed Sales Goals - · Collaborate with the the RVP on a Sales office business plan with the capability to meet and exceed sales objectives by: · Ensuring resources are most effectively deployed to maximize territory potential and adjustments are implemented as needed · Developing a mix of business that supports the office's goals · Supporting objectives of external business partners · Identifying new sources of business Develop & Maintain Customer Relationships- · Make regular contact with key relationships in the Bank, Wirehouse, Independent Brokers Dealers, and Property & Casualty Channels within the territory and those national relationships to help develop and foster new sources of business. · Work effectively with others internally and externally to create new opportunities and resolve concerns.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR * Thorough knowledge of advanced life sales concepts and marketplace * Must be Life & Health / Series 6 , 26, & 63 licensed * Minimum of 5 years of Sales Management experience required. * Professionals Designation CFP, CLU, ChFC a plus * Experience managing a agency/ branch office of financial professionals * Strong presentation and seminar selling skills * Successful track record in sales management, and life brokerage management WHAT IS THE COMPENSATION OPPORTUNITY At the Hartford, our compensation philosophy is simple: we offer a base salary plus commissions.
