We make the world a safer place. Project Parsons is providing base operations support services for a new state of the art campus for a secure agency within the Department of Defense (DoD). Parsons services include: facilities management, operations and maintenance, site and space use planning, environmental compliance, engineering, security, emergency management, freight and vehicle management, and custodial care. This is a restricted access facility and employees will be required to have a current DoD Top Secret (TS) clearance with ability to obtain SCI. POSITION OVERVIEW :
Provides quality-assurance (QA) support activities on assigned project/program and/or functional area(s) to ensure that products or services provided are in accordance with customer and Parsons quality requirements. Reports to the Quality Assurance Manager, Quality Assurance Engineer/Specialist, Senior Supervising, or Quality Assurance Engineer/Specialist, Lead/Supervising. Regularly interacts with representatives from a variety of functional groups, including program management, design/engineering, purchasing, construction, and other personnel
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES :
Verifies that Parsons and customers' quality requirements are in compliance with quality standards and quality program requirements for products and services provided.
Plans, directs and performs QA audits of internal and external organizations.
Identifies and reports quality issues or trends in the assigned area or product based on data from a variety of sources.
Recommends and/or verifies implementation of appropriate corrective action for quality issues, in coordination with program management, engineering, purchasing, construction management and others.
Prepares QA/QC manuals, plans, and/or procedures.
Qualifications: PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Required 4-year degree in Engineering (or related field) and a minimum of 5-10 years of related work experience in the field of quality assurance. Lead Auditor certification (ISO 9001 or equal) or ASQ Certification (as CMQ/OE, CQA or CQE).
Active DoD TS/SCI
Preferred Membership in a nationally-recognized QA/QC organization. Other related certifications may include, but are not limited to: Building Inspector, NQA-1 (nuclear auditor), NDT (ASNT), Welding Inspector (AWS), DOT
SKILLS/COMPETENCIES :
Requires knowledge of industry quality systems and standards, such as ISO 9000, ASME, ANSI, ASTM. Requires knowledge of quality assurance/quality control work practices, processes and current technology. Requires proficiency in the use of computers and software packages related to field. Requires the ability to communicate clearly and interface effectively with a diverse group of professionals.
