POSITION OVERVIEW:
Provides quality-assurance (QA) support activities on assigned Projects and/or functional area(s) to ensure that products or services provided are in accordance with customer and Parsons Quality and Governance requirements. Works under the guidance of and/or reports to, the GSS Quality and Governance Manager and/or the Parsons Chief Security Officer. Interacts with representatives from other functional groups, including Program Management, Parsons IS, Cyber Security, Procurement, Finance, Facilities, and other personnel as directed by Quality and Governance.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
All or any combination of the following:
Verifies that GSS Policies, Procedures, Standards and Work Instructions are written, revised and reviewed in compliance with Parsons' Corporate requirements
Proofreads and performs difficult and/or complex writing and editorial functions, including formatting and style sheet verification, copy editing, rewriting, revising, writing, proofreading, and production planning.
Works directly with document owners and senior management to review copy, illustrations, and other materials submitted for inclusion in assigned documents. Recommends improvements for accuracy of expression, project or company style, clarity, consistency, and grammatical construction. Recasts or writes new portions of text subject to the review and approval of the owner. Ensures, when applicable, that text references are consistent and comply with corporate requirements.
Supports and participates in assigned internal and external document reviews.
Identifies and reports quality issues or trends in the assigned area or product based on data from a variety of sources.
Performs other functions associated with this position as appropriate and directed by GSS Management.
Qualifications: PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Required
High School diploma and a minimum of 5 years of related IT work experience or 2-year degree in a technical discipline or construction-related field and a minimum of 3 years of related Information Technology work experience.
Preferred
4-year degree in Engineering or related field and 2-4 years of related work experience in the field of Information Technology. Certifications in Security or Information Technology
SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:
Requires knowledge of industry quality systems and standards, such as ISO 9000, ASME, ANSI, ASTM. Requires knowledge of quality assurance/quality control work practices and processes. Requires proficiency in the use of computers and software packages related to field. Requires the ability to communicate clearly and interface effectively with a diverse group of professionals.
