Purchasing Coordinator/Junior Accountant
Growing downtown jewelry business is looking for an accountant with at least 2 years of experience that includes purchasing and inventory management experience. A 4 year accounting degree is required. Strong Excel skills and familiarity with ERP systems is a plus.
Responsibilities
*Analyze usage and prepare purchase orders for established styles.
*Report to management on product usage and make recommendations.
*Update system on product changes and new styles.
*Communicate with factory on purchase orders.
*Prepare monthly account reconciliations.
*Assist with analyzing financial statements on a monthly basis and report on variances, note trends and recommend improvements.
*Take charge of inventory management including cycle counts.
*Assist with Month End close responsibilities.
*Maintain due-date tracking schedules and various Excel spreadsheets.

• Proficiency with email and Microsoft Office applications; Sage software and EDI experience a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer service focus.
• The individual in this position will be someone that can take initiative with minimal direction, have the ability to seek out information from various sources and have exceptional follow through.
• Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving, and results.
• Will insure that all sensitive materials and documents are delegated to the appropriate parties, will obtain approvals when necessary, and will meet all deadlines.
• Must possess strong verbal and writing skills.
