Property Accountant
A growing real estate company is seeking a Property Accountant to join their growing team! This position has full responsibility for the preparation of monthly financial statements for their properties. Other duties include: * Prepares and records journal entries related to accrual-based, GAAP accounting * Reviews and approves any lease abstracts * Prepares all aspects of the financial statement package, including creating and posting journal entries, detailed general ledger account review, and completion of all backup schedules as needed * Creates and prepares subsidiary schedules including depreciation, amortization, work in process, capital, and rent successful applicant will possess the following requirements (items are required unless noted otherwise): * BS in a Business Related field* 2+ years of property accounting experience * Excellent oral and written communication skills * Proficient in Excel
