Job Description: The Information Technology (IT) Program Director is a vital role at Fiserv Output Solutions (FOS) that significantly contributes to its overall business success. Program Directors are responsible for all aspects of new client implementations, changes into existing business as well as training all levels of the FOS IT organization and external clients on successful implementation processes. They are responsible for the strategic direction of their program, ensuring the strategy is adequate, successful, followed and improved over time. The PGD has end-to-end authority and accountability over the program once the strategic direction is accepted into the FOS organization. Program Directors oversee one or more programs and their resources to ensure that the quality and success of our projects are consistent, and repeatable. Additionally, through constant involvement in new technology and efforts a significant amount of time is spent on developing methods to add value to our organization and the service we provide to our clients.
Experience Required: Typically has 10 to 12 years of experience with an emphasis on customer service and/or information technology solutions.
Skills Desired: Responsible for the development and use of resources that affect multiple departments and/or functional areas. Has a strong influence to delegate activities and resources within approved budget/policy. Has responsibility for making resource decisions that affect a department and location. Has knowledge to direct the day-to-day operations of a program through planning and delegation of work to first-line supervisors and subordinates. Has an advanced knowledge of the organization, industry, and a functional discipline.
Education Required: BS in Computer Science, MIS or equivalent completion of formal project management course of study or PMP certification
Additional Information: Develops strategy around the program, technology, process, and staffing. Develop strategic road maps for the program and the required technology to deliver solutions. Report on strategic activities of the program via PPTs, DOCs, diagrams, etc. Attend Technical Steering Committee to present new solution designs Provides overall leadership to Program Team Provide direction and advice to Program and Development Managers Ensure programs are staffed appropriately. Accept responsibility for problems escalated from the program and development managers. Participate in Lessons Learned and Root Cause Analysis efforts. Update Implementations Dashboard as required by manager and company policies. Review / approve weekly timesheets in a timely fashion. Directs the Client programs and all related activities. Establishes program standards to ensure client satisfaction. Initiates measures to maintain and improve client good will. Develops policies and procedures covering technical service, general correspondence, and resolution of client complaints. Coordinates support services with other operating departments. Develops and implements Service Excellence ideas and procedures.
