Production Planner (Sports Management/Operations)
We are looking for a qualified, driven Production Planner. The Production Planner manages service levels, capacity and the resulting inventory for all of their assigned style groups each week. They manage the flow of purchase orders to our factory base. This position plays a key role in driving key metrics including on time delivery, order fill rate and inventory turn. What will I do at this company?
Determine buy quantities.
Issue and confirm Purchase Order's (PO's).
Resolve supply availability issues.
Communicate issues through sales operations team.
Maintain data integrity.
Execute Master Production Plan through creation, release and adjustment of purchase orders to vendors.
Manage and plan the flow of purchase orders into the factories.
Expedite and de-expedite purchase orders based on changes in demand.
Manage purchase order cancellations.
Track issued production versus planned factory reservations.
Produce purchasing projections for the factories.
Manage the consumption of any factory contract or commitments.
Use exception reporting to identify and resolve supply issues.
Complete Air Freight Authorization requests as necessary.
Work on special projects as requested.
Drive process improvement within the department.

Qualifications to be considered:
Education and/or Experience - Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Computer Skills - To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office, with strong skills in Excel.
Language Skills - Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers, suppliers or employees of organization.
Reasoning Ability - Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
