Reports to: Chief Financial Officer
The Pricing Director is a strategic partner in supporting the management team by managing price to optimize sales revenues and profits. The Pricing Director leads a team of pricing analysts to develop, evaluate and implement pricing strategies and models based upon current business and competitive market dynamics. This position will be expected to provide business recommendations for pricing best practices across the enterprise. Responsibilities include: day to day operation and leadership of the organizations Pricing Group; development of pricing models that maximize profit and win probability; coordination with members of the technical staff to develop basis of estimates; and development of staff to support a broad range of contracts and pricing methodologies.

Duties & Responsibilities:
*Responsible for development of pricing themes and strategies and managing large multimillion dollar proposals.
*Day to day operation and leadership of the organization’s Pricing Group.
*Development and maintenance of pricing models that maximize profit and win probability.
*Coordination with members of the technical staff to develop basis of estimates.
*Development of staff to support broad range of contracts and pricing methodologies.
*Work as a key member of proposal teams, supporting the proposal managers.
*Work with technical managers, finance, and contracts personnel to incorporate technical requirements, financial profit and risk objectives, and contractual terms.
*Responsible for Financial Management Reviews with senior management to demonstrate a comprehensive approach to the pricing of strategic proposals balancing corporate policy with financial goals and objectives of the organization.
*Provide training, professional development, and consistent direction and policy to staff to achieve pricing and financial objectives.
*Responsible for review and quality assurance of all large proposals.
*Responsible for conducting research and performing competitive pricing analysis including understanding commercial trends by incorporating win-loss data, 3rd party information and field interaction.
*Coordinates with Marketing to ensure regular customer feedback is incorporated into pricing policies through surveys, focus groups and other means.
*Responsible for rolling out price change initiatives and strategies.
*Monitors ongoing competitive environment to ensure practices do not adversely impact company reputation or customer satisfaction.
*Partners with Sales/Marketing, Lines of Business and Finance to correctly position product portfolio and establish pricing programs aligned with product/sales strategy and revenue recognition requirements.
*Creates/administers pricing databases and coordinates implementation of pricing proposals across the organization.
*Develop, publish and communicate Pricing Policies & Procedures.
*Help organize an Enterprise Pricing Committee and conduct regular, periodic meetings.
*Lead a project to develop an automated tool for tracking sign-off for all deals priced.
*Assist with development of new pricing methods for traditional custom solutions (migration away from current cost-plus approach).
*Knowledge of quantitative analysis and statistics.
*Hands on experience in list price management and deal management in a services type enterprise.
Required Skills:
*Minimum 10-15 years of relevant experience including financial modelling and analysis.
*5-8 years as a Pricing Director or Manager.
*General understanding of accounting principles.
*Must be detail oriented; high level of accuracy in work product.
*Ability to work under pressure in a deadline intensive environment.
