Portfolio Analyst
Our client is a well established and highly successful firm that has been advising individuals and institutions on wealth management issues is on the cusp of significant growth. They are currently working on launching 4 master feeder funds which are based on the firm's core strategy which has had a very successful track record. The firm currently has $440 million AUM and has been advising clients for 26 years. The firm's CEO and Principal PM makes regular media appearances and is well known. The Portfolio Analyst will work along side the CEO/PM in dealing with clients, producing analytical materials and reports for clients, conducting investment reviews and being the key communication link for internal needs particularly when the CEO is not available. The Portfolio Analyst will also participate in new business opportunities by preparing presentations and participating in meetings and discussions with prospective clients. Finally, as the mutual fund business gets off the ground, s/he will provide analytical support for this growing part of the business.
The successful candidate will be well versed about the financial markets and have a solid understanding how financial instruments and investment products work and how they are used in a portfolio to achieve client objectives and goals. In addition, the Portfolio Analyst will have a proven track record of building trusting relationships and be seen as a reliable source of information who will follow through on providing clients what they need.
Specific requirements include:
BA/BS with solid academic record; MBA and/or CFA/CIMA significant plus.
FINRA Series 7 license
10+ years experience with at least 5 years in a similar role.
Ideal experience will include analyzing investment manager style and strategy and doing competitive analysis
Solid understanding of portfolio construction, portfolio performance, attribution, asset allocation etc.
Exceptional writing and verbal communication skills
