Portfolio Analyst AutoReqId 130886BR Responsibilities Responsible for the monitoring and tracking of portfolio delivery financials. Utilizes appropriate reporting tools to monitor and track portfolio(s) against delivery, cost, budget, forecast, schedule and quality targets.
. Reports to the Director Portfolio Management and/or Program Manager within the Bank Holding Company (BHC) and Basel II Program Management Office (PMO). . Works with Project/Program Managers, Directors of Technical Delivery and Portfolio Management to ensure quality and timely financial forecasting and reporting . Responsible for the monitoring and tracking of portfolio delivery progress. . Utilizes appropriate reporting tools to monitor and track portfolio(s) against delivery, cost, budget, forecast, schedule and quality targets. . Works in conjunction with development team Project Managers to ensure the accuracy and consistency of project-related information on the Enterprise Portfolio Management System. . Undertakes project and portfolio financial tracking using project actual and forecasted data from the Enterprise Portfolio Management System. . Assists with the compilation of portfolio-level status reporting. . Assists in the reconciliation of portfolio funding and forecasts. . Provides administrative support and assistance to Project Management resources in relation to the update and maintenance of the Enterprise Portfolio Management System. . Provides administration support in relation to escalation of portfolio-level risks/issues and change control procedures. . Interacts with technology groups in order to provide guidance on Portfolio & Business Management processes and associated Enterprise Portfolio Management System usage. . Responsibilities include identifying new opportunities for increased productivity, enhancing service levels, reducing operating and provision costs; evaluating the feasibility of projects using financial and statistical tools and creating and delivering robust proposals to gain buy-in/support. . Entry level position to Technologies organization. . Requires financial acumen in terms of project forecasting, tracking actual spend to forecast, understanding variance, project reporting. . Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically MS Excel and PowerPoint required. . Previous experience with Bank Holding Company and Basel II initiatives preferred. . Knowledge of American Express systems including Clarity, ManageNow, and project management applications is a plus. . Experience with American Express Project Management and Method/1 frameworks is helpful .
