This position is responsible for the accounting and reporting of Georgia-Pacific's Taylorsville, MS lumber and plywood complex reporting to the Plant Controller.
Responsibilities: * Business Analysis * Manufacturing and business decision analysis * Economic decision-making * Forecasting, Annual Plan & Pro-forma development * Variance analysis * Create value through process improvements and analysis on new business, new equipment & technology and cost reduction & efficiency initiatives * Fiduciary Duties * Assist with internal financial control environment oversight * Balance sheet account preparation and income statement review * Ownership in various accounting processes during month-end closing Basic Qualifications: * BS/BA in Finance or Accounting. Must include some Intermediate Accounting and Cost Accounting coursework. * 3.0 GPA in the accounting classing and overall coursework. We are an equal opportunity employer.
