Major Duties Include: *Plan vehicle market (model, engine, transmission) for various OEMs in North America, including detailed monthly current year forecast and revision of long term internal vehicle forecasts. *Analyze and communicate factors affecting the light duty vehicle market and their impact on the official light duty forecast. *Continually review and interpret automotive/economic market developments via conferences/news media, etc. to ensure that vehicle planning reflects up-to-date information. *Provide market update via formal presentations at internal management briefings. *Develop and maintain cooperative relationships with international network of internal planners and local divisional Sales Team. *Provide support to corporate sales, upper management and divisional sales, as needed. * Lead cross divisional discussions with corporate and divisional sales to achieve consensus forecasts. *Position is heavily geared towards data analysis.
Minimum Requirements Include: *Bachelor's degree or equivalent in marketing, statistics, finance, business administration or equivalent. *At least three years of past experience in product/market planning. *The ability to analyze large amounts of data and determine root cause of variances. *The ability to recognize causal relationships between key factors and determine the potential impact in the automotive environment (ie. incentives, inventory, production volume, etc.).
*Experience in sorting through potentially conflicting pieces of information to determine what makes the most sense based on confirmed data that is available.
Desired: *Knowledge of the Bosch planning systems and processes. *An interest in the automotive industry, including factors which affect vehicle demand and production. *German and/or Japanese language knowledge is a plus.
