We are currently seeking applicants for our Manager position to join one of the following offices (Los Angeles, CA; San Mateo, CA; or Princeton, NJ). Qualified candidates will possess the skills detailed below and relevant work experience.

Managersleverage their experience to take responsibility for projects and lead client relationships immediately. Managers enter ZS either as generalists across practice areas or industries, or as specialists within one area. As a Manager, you will:
. Manage projects and client relationships
. Drive business and strategy development
. Direct multiple projects simultaneously, honing analytic and project management skills
. Motivate, coach and serve as a role model for project team members
. Provide thought leadership and innovation within projects and across practice areas

What opportunities exist at ZS?
ZS project teams are usually composed of two to four people drawn from different levels of the firm. Working with small teams on major consulting assignments encourages a close working relationship with ZS Consultants, Managers, Principals and clients. The exposure to clients encourages an understanding of the critical questions facing sales and marketing executives.
ZS provides organized training, which continues as on-the-job learning. Upon joining, a New Employee Orientation provides information on basic tools, resources and key ZS practice areas. In addition, several training sessions are offered each month, ranging from broad business topics to specific technical instruction. A Professional Development Manager will provide career guidance, and project performance evaluation will help identify areas for innovation and growth. As analytic and technical skills grow, so do project management opportunities. As your career advances, your active participation in business and strategy development grows. Over time you may choose to specialize in a particular practice area or perhaps focus on managing an on-going client relationship.

The person in this position will be responsible for expanding our pipeline strategy capability within the Marketing Services Practice. The person in this role will work with Pharmaceutical and Biotech firms to expand their product portfolio and optimize early clinical development opportunities.

Key resonsibilities include:
. Work closely with clients to develop their corporate strategy to support products in early clinical development including business development, licensing, and deal structuring to mitigate risk
. Build collaboration of marketing and development organizations to design the optimal product from scientific, regulatory, and commercial perspectives
. Lead efforts to provide solutions to our clients to optimize and manage portfolio strategy.
. Support pipeline strategy in the following ways: identifying market opportunities for new products, defining clinical endpoints to drive commercial success, identifying patient types for which the product should be tested, and balancing the pursuit of commercial success with technical and regulatory risk
. Manage projects and client relationships
. Drive business and strategy development
. Direct multiple projects simultaneously, honing analytic and project management skills
. Motivate, coach and serve as a role model for project team members
. Provide thought leadership and innovation within projects and specifically within the Pipeline Strategy practice
. Play a key role in development of capabilities and offerings in the Practice



Qualifications: What are we looking for?
. Bachelors degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science or equivalent
. MBA or advanced degree highly desirable
. 10-15 years pharmaceutical/biotech experience in portfolio management
. Demonstrated success in portfolio analysis and a thorough understanding of the drug discovery and development process
. Prior management consulting experience with demonstrated success in business development
. Strong interpersonal skills
. Strong analytic problem solving experience
. Executive-level presence and communication
. Prior leadership experience
