Additional Job Details: External Description: Line of Business: INSURANCE Job Category: Office / Administrative / ClientService Primary Purpose: Service the book of business that is assigned;including renewals and new business, underwrite and place new accounts,coordinate processing and payment of claims between insured and company, collectpremiums for assigned accounts, cross sell accounts, provide continuing serviceand advice to the client and producers. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other Duties maybe performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specificactivities may change from time to time. 1. Respond to inquiries from Agencyinsured and prospects. 2. Assist in collections for assigned accounts by callingor writing the insureds and call company to cancel for nonpayment if applicable.(Agency billed accounts only). 3. Complete applications and rate and quote risksfor new and renewal business. 4. Set up new files. 5. Maintain account files,checking and updating account information; purging as appropriate. 6. Processmiscellaneous changes and endorsements and cancellations. 7. Prepare policiesand endorsements for delivery or mailing. 8. Solicit coverages or expirationdates for coverages not carried by the agency. 9. Maintain expiration list andsuspense file for assigned accounts. 10. Invoice accounts on all assignedaccounts. 11. Take claim reports and forward them to company. 12. Maintain claimrecords checking and updating information. 13. Maintain prospect list for newand canceled (preferred accounts) update and delete as required. 14. Call forexpiration dates of prospects. 15. Prior to renewal, prepare key accounts forreview, assemble and update entire file and account information and preparerecommendations for upgrading coverages. 16. Data entry.
