DEPARTMENT PROFILE Comprehensive Outsourcing Services (COS) provides a selection of payroll, Human Resources and benefits administration services that can act as the payroll or HR department for clients. These services enable our clients to create a customized solution that fits their current needs, while allowing the flexibility to add on modules as client requirements change or business grows. POSITION SUMMARY The Payroll Coordinator is a payroll professional with a thorough understanding of payroll practices and Canadian legislation. The role is responsible for processing low to medium complexity payrolls for multiple clients, maintaining client and employee records, ensuring the payroll data is collected, input, processed, balanced and verified in accordance with the client and ADP Canada specifications. This role responds to employee/client queries via incoming calls to the Call/Service center in a professional and timely manner assuming full responsibility and resolution. This role supports and receives direction from the Service Manager regarding client issues
RESPONSIBILITIES . Thorough understanding of our automated payroll system, input methods, reporting capabilities. . Co-ordinates all incoming payroll data, ensuring all procedures/polices are being met. . Communicates and informs the Payroll Administrator of specific internal and external client guidelines . Through understanding of Year-End processes . Determines the root cause of a problem or issue and ensures timely and accurate resolution. . Vision to create solutions to unique client issues/concerns promoting of Stellar Service. . Thorough understanding of internal forms, processes and procedures used to initiate client requests and service. . Ensures changes or additions to clients' set-ups are completed and follow through with client. . Able to investigate, analyze and resolve issues.
QualificationsRequired (Experience, Skills, Academic): COMPETENCIES Education: . PCP certification preferred . High school diploma or equivalent business experience (preferably in an office or payroll environment) . Accounting Level one or work experience.
Knowledge, Experience, and Skills: Required: . Minimum 1 year customer service experience . Strong PC experience, understanding of operating systems and MS Office
Preferred: . Thorough understanding of Payroll administration . Thorough understanding of the balancing and year end processes . Knowledge of ADP Canada workflow preferred. . Prior experience utilizing ADP Paytech host on demand products Attributes: . Superior client service skills (both verbal and written) and strong active listening skills .
