To learn more about LAI International visit ________________________________________________________________________ THE POSITION SUMMARY Reporting to the Accounting Supervisor, the Payroll Accountant provides support to LAI management and its employee's and is responsible for the organization's Payroll operations and accounting-related tasks. DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: · Analyze, prepare and input payroll data. · Process weekly payroll for multiple site locations. · Handle employee payroll access maintenance. · Compile payroll data such as garnishments, vacation time, insurance and 401(k) deductions. · Poll electronic time clocks and review the downloaded information for completeness and accuracy. · Ensures compliance with all applicable state and federal wage and hour laws. · Prepares weekly, monthly, quarterly and year-end reports (gross payroll, hours worked, vacation accrual, tax deductions, benefit deductions, etc.) for management. · Performs various journal entries, account reconciliations, and provides General Ledger support. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Associate degree in accounting or equivalent required plus two years general accounting and payroll experience. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Experience in handling sensitive, confidential information. Familiarity with ADP or similar payroll software. Ability to work with both technical and administrative personnel. Strong organizational skills with a keen ability to prioritize and multi-task. Ability to adhere to and meet deadlines. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from all employees. Ability to operate effectively with just the intent of management.
