PAYROLL ACCOUNTANT Major Seafood Company seeking year-round Payroll Accountant to work at an on-shore processing plant in King Cove, Alaska, ten to eleven months per year. Transportation to and from anywhere in Alaska and room and board while in King Cove are provided.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
* Monthly payroll for 500+ employees, time clock (TKC) & timesheet employees;
* Maintenance of employee data and files;
* Weekly payroll express checks and employee cash advances;
* Reporting for pension, union, 401(k), child support and workman's compensation;
* Review, reconcile & maintain data for accuracy;
* In and Out processing of all personnel;
Successful applicant must have previous payroll experience, ADP preferable; computer literate with emphasis on Microsoft programs; accounting background including 10 key by touch; must be well organized with attention to detail; ability to handle stress; good communication skills; be able to deal with a variety of people in a team environment, both within and outside the company. Average work during peak season is 11 hours/day, 7 days/week. Hourly rate will be based on experience.
