Description Under direction of the VP of Channel Development and Integration, the Payment Systems Coordinator handles the daily operation and support of all the Credit Union's payment systems and related projects. Qualified candidates must have extensive experience in managing activities for assigned projects -- define project steps and deadlines, and work with the staff to ensure that all tasks are executed according to plan and deliverables are met per customer specification

A good working knowledge of the Open Solutions DNA core system, (The Complete Credit Union System - TCCUS) and ancillary payment products of ACH, Checks, Debit Cards, Credit Cards, Online Bill Payments, Shared Branch, Mobile Payments, P2P payments, Wire Transfers, ATMs, and any other emerging financial payment system deployed by Smart Financial.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Work with staff to determine how the credit union operates and services their customers. Develop and create appropriate DNA options as they relate to specific products and projects.
2. Analyze the incoming and outgoing file transmissions and system generated reports as needed to insure timely receipt, delivery and accuracy. Document errors and procedures/processes to third party vendors.
3. Payment Project Consultation/Coordination:
4. Works under minimal supervision and work is completed independently. Makes decisions to resolve issues regarding recovery with card processing to minimize member impact with production system outages. Serves as a resource to less experienced team members on escalated issues of a routine nature.
5. Applies Functional knowledge of card processing systems, structure, ATM's and related applications. Performs moderately complex to complex work assignments and problem resolution. Ensures card processing environment is stable by reviewing network documentation, OSI, and Networks releases and implementations.
6. Testing: Accurately and extensively test third party and project specific files, programs, procedures and processes.
7. Establish and maintain positive professional relationships with internal and external client organizations, vendors and other financial institutions.
8. Involved in research, evaluation, testing and implementation of new payment system updates or releases.
9. Assist departmental members with escalated work orders and resolving problems.
10. On-call rotation to troubleshoot payment system issues that may arise after hours.
11. Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements 1. MIS, Business or related degree preferred.
2. TCBS or TCCUS application support experience preferred.
3. Financial institution experience, five years required.
4. At least 5 years experience working with EFT networks and switches with understanding of transaction routing and payment system integrity.
5. Extensive financial industry and payment systems knowledge and experience.
6. Extensive analytical knowledge. Developing of analytical tasks specific to special project coordination.
7. Must be willing to complete specialized training courses on payment system design.
8. Strong multitasking skills with the ability to work in a fast paced environment.
9. The ability to work independently and the ability to be an effective team player.
10. Applicant should have a general knowledge of Information Technology / Information Systems departments and their operation.
11. Must be organized and able to create detailed instructions and documentation.
12. Must have excellent problem solving skills.
13. Must have excellent written and verbal skills.
14. Minimal local traveling to branch locations on an as needed basis.
15. Other job duties as required.
