OFAC Compliance Analyst
Our client is an international bank and they are seeking an OFAC Compliance Analyst who will provide support to the Compliance Department with the daily processing of Funds Transfer related payments in accordance with O.F.A.C. sanctions programs.
Key Responsibilities:
Developing in- depth understanding of the GIFTS CIF and Case Management applications
Assisting in gathering information for the periodic updating of the private banking & correspondent bank's profiles. and other high risk entities (embassies, MSBs, PEPs, etc) account profiles.
Performing real-time review and verification for OFAC related “false/positive” payments and Swift messages.
Participate in continuing education workshops on compliance and regulatory matters.
Assist in Outbound SWIFT message processing.
Maintain log of all OFAC related investigations.
Provide suggestions for additions to “Good Guy” rules and “exclude Word” dictionary.
Potential exposure to other areas of Compliance after proven track record in the above.
Qualifications:
Minimum of one year related experience
Current experience in a Funds Transfer environment required
Full understanding of both Domestic and International Funds Transfer process and requirements (Swift, Chips, Fedwire and Check21).
Basic knowledge of Swift Message types and associated fields
eGifts system experience is a plus.
Exposure to OFAC item processing required
College degree is preferred.
