SUMMARY:
Assign claims to appropriate claim professionals. Coordinate and monitor claim professional activities to ensure prompt inspections and maximization of adjuster resources.

PRIMARY DUTIES:
Assign claims to appropriate claim professionals and independent adjusters as required to maintain an equitable distribution of workload throughout assigned territories.

Maintain contact and open communication with claim professionals throughout the day in order to alert and assign new claims appropriately.

Make quality initial contact with insured as appropriate, consistently providing superviour customer service to internal and external customers.

Recognize file complexity and severity and assign claim appropriately.

Utilize knowledge of PL and/or CL coverage to triage based on file complexity and severity and escalate as appropriate.

Recognize Subrogation potential and SIU involvement.

Identify and refer claims with high level exposure to the supervisor.

Balance daily workloads. Review relevant operational management information and shift resources as necessary to achieve optimal productivity and customer service.
Reassign cases where the complexity or severity merits such activity.

Promptly review and assign all field support requests (i.e.: task assignments) from other business units in respect to location of task, availability of claim professional in territory, appropriate assignment for severity and/or complexity of the known claim facts and workload capacity within the servicing office.

Accurately and thoroughly document information in claim system. Document changes to assignments in file notes.

Consistently provide superior customer service to internal and external customers.

Direct information in real-time to appropriate system or staff.

Proactively leverages information to identify opportunities to remap-realign territories and trends to be more effective and communicate proposal to local leadership.

Understand and meet expectations per Best Practices.

Participate onoccasional Catastrophe duty including other offices and states as may be required.

All other duties as assigned and necessary to effectively service the customer and achieve effective claim productivity.

EDUCATION/COURSE OF STUDY:
Associates Degree with minimum 1 year claim experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelors Degree preferred.

WORK EXPERIENCE:
Some claim experience required; dispatcher experience preferred.

CERTIFICATES/DEGREES:
Obtain and maintain state licensing as required.

COMPUTER SKILLS:
Proficient use of technology; including, Microsoft Word, Excel, e-mail, Web-enabled applications, and database software.

OTHER:
Obtain and maintain state licensing as required.

Associates Degree with minimum 1 year claim experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelors Degree preferred.

Some claim experience required; dispatcher experience preferred.

Proficient use of technology; including, Microsoft Word, Excel, e-mail, Web-enabled applications, and database software.

Ability to determine geographic locations, including map reading ability.

Flexibility and willingness to work early evening hours with some weekend hours.

Understands assigned line of business and overall Claim operations; uses/applies knowledge of specific LOB.
