Network Specialist-Inventory/Distribution
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance or Accounting
• Experience with PeopleSoft Purchasing, Inventory, Fixed Assets
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Office Suite products
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Highly organized with strong analytical, problem solving and decision making skills
• Fulcrum CATS experience a plus
• Team PlayerThis position is responsible for overseeing and managing the Network Support Systems (NSS) Asset Management Lifecycle processes. NSS serialized/non-serialized hardware assets will be maintained, tracked, audited, and reported in VZW's CATS inventory management application/tools suite and in PeopleSoft financial system. Similarly, NSS software licenses, entitlements, and maintenance & support agreements will be tracked via Software/License tracking tools and in PeopleSoft to ensure RTU compliance.
• Manage hardware and software Inventory Reporting and Tracking process in CATS, PeopleSoft, and Software License Tracking tools.
• Create hardware/software asset tracking standards in complex, multi-vendor Data Center environments. Communicate and publish documented standards.
• Define/develop and run weekly reports to ensure NSS organization is in compliance with VZW Network and Sarbanes Oxley standards (ex. serialization, location, inventory status, etc).
• Guide and define future NSS inventory policy as organization moves away from a conventional physical server environment in Network Equipment Centers (NEC's) to an increasing virtual server and cloud computing environment.
• Troubleshoot all identified inventory related discrepancies and issues and bring to resolution. Work with Inventory Coordinators (stationed in staging facilities), Finance, NEC equipment owners and vendors to resolve procurement related issues.
• Working with NEC Operations teams and equipment vendors, manage the Equipment Repairs/Returns process. Ensure the tracking accuracy of equipment taken out of service returned to vendor for repairs/replacement and redeployment of equipment.
• Working with NEC Operations and Fixed Assets, manage the equipment decommissioning process. Ensure that obsolete equipment is taken out of deployment and shipped to centralized warehouse site for disposal with Asset recovery vendor. Ensure that transactions are accurately reflected in CATS/PeopleSoft systems and Fixed Assets Net Book Value (NBV) ledger.
• Manage Cycle Count process. Work with NEC Operations teams to implement cycle count testing at the various NSS locations to ensure accuracy between physically deployed operational equipment with inventory records in Fulcrum CATS/PeopleSoft systems. Implement all identified fixes/changes to ensure that NSS is in compliance with Verizon Wireless standards and Sarbanes-Oxley audit requirements.
• Act as NSS SME for all Fulcrum CATS systems/scanner updates/changes. Represent NSS in CATS training and train/guide other NSS groups on CATS policy.
• Work with Engineering, NEC operations and Finance teams to ensure the proper equipment from approved architecture design reviews is purchased, deployed and installed.
