Title: Network Modeler, Mid Location: Virginia-Herndon Key Role: Perform programming in C and C to develop telecommunication processes and protocols in OPNET. Assist a client delivery and assignment team to analyze and evaluate the performance of networks composed of networking technologies, including IP, MPLS, ATM, and Frame Relay. Collect and interpret client network data for input into networking models. Evaluate modeling results and network performance metrics to assist with evaluating proposed network enhancements. Assist with methodology development to solve complex analytic problems. Document and present analysis results and findings to clients. This position is located in Northern Virginia. Basic Qualifications: -2 years of experience with programming in C and C -2 years of experience with event driven programming -1 years of experience with wireless and wireline telecommunications and data networking protocols and technologies, including IP, ATM, MPLS, Ethernet, WiMAX, CDMA, and GSM -Ability to obtain a US security clearance -BS degree Additional Qualifications: -Experience with engineering or the network planning groups of a telecommunications service provider or equipment manufacture, including Lucent, Cisco, AT&T, or Sprint a plus -Experience with telecommunication modeling tools, including OPNET and MATLAB a plus -Ability to work effectively with staff of various technical competence levels -Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills -Possession of excellent organizational skills in a rapidly-changing environment -BS degree in EE, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, CS, or another related telecommunications field -CCNA or CCNP certification a plus Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
