Responsibilities: Perform transfer agent accounting functions and review work of other Balancers for a variety of complex mutual fund and alternative investment clients. The Reviewer accounts and verifies all shareholder cash and share activity for a mutual fund/alternative investment fund and is also responsible for posting the fund?s shareholder cash movements between the client custody account, escrow accounts and the DDA accounts.
Responsible for the review of the Transfer Agent Balancer?s daily work to ensure accuracy and quality prior to reporting fund information to the client. Balance shareholder activity and cash transactions. Balance dividend/capital gain distribution payments. Review and monitor gain/loss ledgers. Perform/review scheduled commission balancing and processing, meeting daily fund deadlines and related time requirements. Other aspects of the reviewing function includes money movement verification and the release of the automated money movements. Respond to any questions/inquiries from internal or external clients. Provide the Fund Accountant with the daily sharesheet and work with the Fund Accountant to resolve any discrepancies. Prepare/review outgoing wire registers and confirm outgoing wires. Participate in special projects including client conversions.
Requirements: Bachelor?s degree in Finance or a related field with at least two years of related experience. Position requires a high degree of accuracy, attention to detail, strong organizational skills, strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent analytical, problem solving skills, and mathematical skills. Able to work independently or within a team environment. Demonstrated ability to work under critical time constraints is essential.
Hours: Regular hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Start time may vary based upon business needs.
