Job Description: The Mortgage Specialist- Shipping and Delivery will be responsible for reviewing loan closing packages and submission of documents to investors as required. They will obtain and cure document deficiencies working directly with the settlement agents, closing attorneys and origination areas. Additional responsibilities include:
Complete thorough and accurate review of mortgage documentation and data on closed conventional, government mortgage and home equity loans. Ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.
Obtain, review and correct documentation necessary to ensure salability of the mortgage loan to investor.
Ship completed file to investor and/or government agency before delivery expiration date and follow up on suspended conditions as requested.
Responsible for updating mortgage systems with accurate information.
Prepare files and trailing documents for imaging.
Assist in keeping files organized within cabinets and designated areas. Pack for shipping to Iron Mountain.
Complete any compliance or regulatory training as required.
Other duties assigned as required.
Must adhere to pertinent laws, regulations, First Niagara's Compliance Policy and external compliance requirements.
