The purpose of this position is to process residential mortgage loan applications to ensure a smooth mortgage process. This position is for an experienced loan processor having several years experience in the processing of residential mortgage loans.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with bank and government regulations. - Data entry of loan applications to bank’s processing system. - Submit applications to automated underwriting system. - Order and collect documentation necessary to address automated underwriting findings. - Communicate with all parties on status of file. - Work with originator and borrower to clear underwriting conditions.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of mortage investors guidelines, appraisal process, automated underwriting, and compliance guidelines - Ability to learn new processes quickly, retain information, and validate received information as applicable - Ability to understand, apply knowledge, and resolve issues that arise between automated rules and manual rules - Good organizational skills - Good communication skills - Good computer skills - High School diploma - One to three years of related experience - Related processing experience within a business, such as a bank, credit union, legal firm, insurance company, etc. Apply for this job:
