MBS Generalist—Mortgage-Backed Securities  

This position requires a highly motivated person who will join the MBS evaluation and pricing team in the role of MBS generalist. Using in-house analytics, the team will design and support valuation models and systems to provide clients with evaluated prices for mortgaged-backed securities. Team members include traders, portfolio managers and sales staff. The role demands excellent communication and people skills to work effectively with a variety of colleagues including programmers, senior valuation analysts and business managers.

Responsible for assisting the sales team in presentations to clients that include banks, hedge funds and fund managers. Also responsible for providing feedback to keep projects within timelines. This client service role will strive to become an industry leader in the evaluated pricing sector. The position provides an excellent opportunity for those with mortgaged backed securities experience to play a key role in the development and launch of groundbreaking new products and technologies.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience;
• 2+ years of MBS trading, underwriting or price evaluation experience;
• CMBS ABS, and non-agency MBS experience a plus;
• Superior Excel-based research and analysis skills;
• Strong Excel-based research and analytic skills, along with solid understanding of databases;
• Strong understanding of the MBS market and pricing; and
• Excellent communication skills.

Compensation:

 Total Compensation of 200+k
