Market Insights Coordinator will be instrumental in the implementation of Assurant's market intelligence annual strategy by supporting the collection and analysis of general competitive, client and consumer intelligence.
Key responsibilities
* Maintains and updates competitor profiles and prospect research
* Collects, compiles and organizes data collected from various research projects and sources
* Serves as project lead on mystery shopping/competitive analysis project
* Maintains product comparison database
* Provides project support on various research assignments including annual brand study, customer interviews, and win/loss analysis as well as ad hoc research
* Communicates research findings and insights across the organization
* Formats deliverables for client presentation as needed
* Maintains and publishes summary reports of key market facts/ findings
* Thinks beyond the data, assisting in bridging the gap to strategic implications and generating new thoughts and ideas on applying market insights to our business
* Generates ideas on how to best collect and use insights applicable to the business
* Performs additional duties as needed, including general support for the marketing department
Required skills/experience
* Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business Administration or related field
* One year plus experience working in a marketing environment with an emphasis on research and social media
* Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate with individuals at various levels and functions within the organization
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
* Ability to work on multiple projects and excel in a fast paced environment
* Excellent time management skills that facilitate working in a deadline-oriented environment
* Analytic skills and intellectual curiosity that will promote strong market analysis
* Follow-through and exceptional attention to detail is essential
Desired skills/experience
* Experience using social media to creatively engage consumers a plus
* Basic understanding of research methodologies and survey tools
