Managing Director of Finance

Summary:

Responsibilities:

• Developing, implementing and managing the financial management framework and reporting


• Oversight of private equity and hedge fund accounting


• Oversight of Tax preparation and K-1 reporting: and corporate internal controls for all business activities of the company and subsidiaries


• Interface with senior management and investors


• Responsible for each company’s financial statements


• Implementation and monitoring of corporate internal controls


• GAAP reporting research and adoption


• Budgeting and forecasting


• Cash management


• New business initiative rollouts


• Staff development

Requirements:

• Assist Chief Financial Officer through performance of appropriate procedural and control reviews through the organization


• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field


• CPA required


• Hedge Fund/ Private Equity/ Partnership Accounting background and experience Knowledge of K-1 preparation and Fin Op background


• Minimum of 7-10 years experience in increasingly responsible positions in financial services (investment management), preferably in financial accounting or closely related function


• Implementation and management of best practice quality and internal controls processes


• Key point person for external auditors


• Strong analytical, organizational, interpersonal and management


• Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills


• Advanced Excel, database and systems skills required
