The Manager of Tax Compliance & Reporting will be managing a group of exempt level accounting professionals; or several smaller groups of exempt accounting professionals of varied accounting disciplines. They will provide support for the VP Corporate Taxes, Director Tax Planning and the Director Tax Accounting.
Lead and support tax compliance activities for a Fortune 250 company operating in the US and in every state.
Lead and support tax accounting activities.Requires expertise in FAS 109, FIN 48, APB 23, SOX compliance.
Ability to be creative and resourceful in fulfilling tax compliance and accounting functions.
Must have analytical skills, including using excel spreadsheets to illustrate and calculate the tax effect on proposed transactions and audit questions.
Monitor and mentor activities of direct reports.
Invest significant efforts in identifying future needs of specialization area which include, but are not limited to: resources, knowledge, career pathing, structure, and workflow.
Exercise initiative in developing personal performance and production goals with consideration to assigned tax area needs.
Ability to communicate with legal, business development and accounting of the tax aspects of various transactions.
The ideal candidate will have Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Tax or Finance, and/or 5-7 years of related tax work experience.
The preferred candidate will have Big 4 experience and/or a Masters in Taxation.
