The National Bank is currently looking for two (2) managers, mortgage development for its Toronto core area.


*** Please note that the incumbent of this function may be required to travel within the region to meet clients
*** Must be available to work a flexible schedule (days, evenings and week-end)

Nature of the contribution

Reporting to the Sales Manager - Specialized Networks, you will help increase the Bank's market share and profitability by selling mortgage products to a specific target clientele. Working with selected market intermediaries, you will be responsible for the quality of the relationship established as well as the Bank's image and visibility. Moreover, you will promote National Bank Financial Group's global offering and refer clients to experts or to the resource best suited to meet their needs, thereby increasing the number of products these clients hold with the Financial Group.

Main responsibilities

As a mortgage development manager, you will be expected to interact with three types of parties:

Clients
As a mortgage professional, you will offer clients exceptional service through your competence, presence, efficiency, flexibility and proactiveness in meeting their needs. You will build relationships of trust with your clients by providing quality advice, which will lead to increased client satisfaction and business development. You will support clients through your expertise and help them develop mortgage strategies adapted to their needs that are also profitable for the Bank. You will also be expected to keep up to date on the Bank's various products in order to better inform clients of the options available to them. As such, you will attend the meetings and training sessions needed to provide quality service.

Market intermediaries
You will be responsible for developing and maintaining lasting business relationships with real estate agents and/or builders, promoting the products and services offered by the Bank and participating in a variety of business development and recognition activities. You will be responsible for developing your skills and following market developments by keeping up with the latest trends in your area of expertise. You will also ensure a physical and sustained presence in the offices of the intermediaries assigned to you.

Internal partners
You will apply established processes and procedures rigorously and produce high-quality files in compliance with the different standards and regulations in effect. As a team player, you will establish and maintain effective communication with internal partners at the Bank involved in the different phases of delivery. You will also refer clients to the appropriate partners to increase client retention and promote cross-selling. Finally, you will play an active role in helping Bank branches take charge of clients.

* Bachelor's degree in a related field and one year's relevant experience, or a college diploma with three years' relevant experience, or any other combination of experience and education deemed equivalent
* Experience in sales and business development
* Banking experience, an asset
* Knowledge of mortgage financing and consumer credit
* Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
* Good organizational skills
* Autonomy, perseverance, team player
* Flexible and creative
* Entrepreneurial
* English (spoken and written)
