Manager, Fixed Income Operations
Are You a Fixed Income Operations Expert with Solid Supervisory Experience
Due to heavy expansion, this Premier NYC Investment Management Leader seeks an exceptional individual to join their Global Fixed Income Operations team. In the role of Manager, you will oversee the team that handles the fixed income operational functions such as reconciliations, trade settlement, income collection, margin payments for derivatives.
Specific Responsibilities:
Liaise with various counterparties such as brokers, fund accountants and custodians.
Development of short and long term goals and objectives in an effort to improve operating procedures and overall service provided by the group
Review various data, such as performance, accounting reports and security trade related data to effectively identify and manage the business risk.
Develop and manage relationships with Technology, Trading and Investment professionals in both New York & Boston offices
Leverage strengths of the current team members, help to clarify roles and responsibilities and develop and implement training programs in order to maximize and reach optimal individual and organizational goals.
Provide leadership in strengthening internal communications with staff at all levels throughout the organization; create and promote a positive and supportive work environment.
Job Requirements:
Bachelors degree
MBA or financial certification a plus
8-15 years experience within Asset Management and Fixed Income Operations expertise
5+ years of proven strong leadership, people management and team development skills necessary to lead a group of direct and indirect reports across two locations.
Proven success in building and developing team members
In-depth understanding of the workings of the broad financial and fixed income products, custody, accounting and investment operations industry
International Fixed Income and Eagle system experience a plus
Strong knowledge / experience with Microsoft Excel and Bloomberg
