Description
Join the HomeStreet team! Our Loan Funder will ensure that all assigned residential loan applications fund in a timely manner and meet all regulatory and legal requirements. Accurately and completely prepare all documentation required. Review each file, release funding, and wire funds. Continually demonstrate good partnership and excellent customer service. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Prepare loan documents and escrow instructions on all standard HomeStreet loans. Review the file for conditions and/or instructions from the Processor, review and accurately detail all loan charges and prepare any documents required by the loan for funding. Prepare and deliver all files within 24 hours from receipt from processing to escrow. Ensure that escrow receives files with sufficient time to allow customer signing. Review all signed documents immediately upon receipt from Escrow. Correct any errors or obtain any missing items to allow the loan to fund. Fund loans and wire monies according to company standards and within the timeframes as expected by our customers. Coordinate any follow-up conditions as necessary to ensure completion within required timeframes. Communicate any delays in satisfying post-funding conditions to management. Maintain excellent communication between customers, Loan Officers, Processors, and all other parties involved in each loan transaction. Provide a superior level of customer service to all parties. Take full responsibility to ensure that all files are funded within the requirements and expectations of our customers and that all files are complete and accurate. REQUIREMENTS: Minimum of 2 years of experience funding single-family residential loans, including Conventional, FHA, VA, and brokered loan applications.
General knowledge of conventional, government and secondary market regulations and guidelines.
An understanding of the basics of escrow functions and law for effective problem solving.
Must be a self-starter, dependable, accurate in completing responsibilities with strong attention to detail.
Must exercise good judgment, accept responsibility and handle confidential information.
Demonstrated problem solving, researching and decision-making skills.
