To conduct on-site
due diligence on prospective and existing customers by examining
business, cash flow trends, and collateral strengths and
weaknesses. Collateral is evaluated by performing detailed
substantive tests and analysis. Based on this analysis, the Loan
Analyst independently evaluates the collateral and credit quality of
the borrower or prospective borrower and makes appropriate
recommendations.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: PRINCIPAL
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (*ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)
* Perform
on-site field examinations for: a) New business transactions * Gain a thorough understanding of the proposed
transaction and
collateral via a review of the applicable term sheet and initial
client
memo, and discussions with the applicable investment and underwriting
officers * Coordinate scope of due diligence services needed,
and arrange/coordinate onsite visit * Execute planned due diligence procedures
onsite b) Portfolio monitoring
transactions * Gain a thorough understanding of the transaction
and
collateral via review of the credit files, loan documents, and
discussions with the applicable Credit Administration
personnel * Coordinate scope of due diligence services needed,
arrange and
coordinate onsite visit * Execute planned due diligence procedures
onsite * On-site
review/testing of company records to verify the integrity of the
financial data submitted; verify the accuracy of the collateral
record keeping and systems. Through inspection and substantive
procedures, verify the existence and valuation of
collateral * Discuss key
financial trends with management and perform verification of
applicable financial statement accounts * Prepare and
complete comprehensive examination work papers to document
examination findings and results of procedures performed * Assist in
preparation of underwriting and collateral monitoring
reports * Discuss
findings with Investment officers and Credit Administration
personnel * Perform ad
hoc projects and assignments as needed to evaluate credit and
collateral quality EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
* Accounting,
auditing, and commercial lending skills * Minimum of
Bachelors degree, preferably in accounting * CPA designation is
preferredKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND
ABILITIES
* Proficient
in Microsoft Word and Excel * Excellent
written and oral presentation skills * Strong
interpersonal and presentation skills are required * Extensive
travel is required, frequently on short notice * Ability to
work overtime is required * Successful
