Lending Manager 3

This leader will be responsible for developing and implementing underwriting/loss mitigation program strategies in support of customers seeking assistance while in an approved state or local mediation program.

Position will be responsible for managing credit quality and loss mitigation underwriting across multiple portfolios. Additionally, this leader will be responsible for managing internal processes related to home preservation mediation as well as building relationships with external third parties involved in the mediation process.

Position requires that this key leader possesses extraordinary leadership skills, sound credit evaluation skills and the ability to maximize recovery, reduce losses on a highly complex mortgage portfolio within company and industry guidelines, and manage reputation risk in a very sensitive and growing department-and collaboration with state program administrators.

Key Responsibilities include: This leader will provide strategy, direction, and leadership over Home Preservation Underwriting teams Specific responsibilities include providing daily pipeline management, coaching and training of underwriters, providing a strong credit risk assessment culture while ensuring open lines of communication with all Quality Risk groups including both business partners and legal/compliance.

General Description: Responsible for managing lending activities for multiple business units or departments. Functions include: approving loans in excess of unit/department level authorities; ensuring conformity with bank policies and procedures; monitoring of delinquency, loss, and risk rating accuracy; assisting relationship managers with structuring, pricing and documentation of individual loan transactions; monitoring and reviewing staffs loan underwriting and portfolio management performance; planning, organizing, and directing managers and staff in accomplishing business goals; developing and analyzing new business prospects; managing on-going account relationships.

May be responsible for preparing or reviewing reports provided to senior management regarding portfolio performance. May also be responsible for reviewing and approving workout strategies for individual problem loans

Basic Qualifications: 8+ years lending experience and 3+ years management experience.

Minimum Qualifications: - 8 + years lending experience in consumer mortgages and loan collections
- 3+ years management experience in consumer mortgages and loan collections
- Demonstrated excellence at identifying stakeholders, understanding needs, and driving to resolution
- Understanding the credit life cycle to include underwriting approval processes through to collection and work out situations
- Ability to deliver high-quality impactful results
- Demonstrated excellence at developing sound credit processes, and when needed, evaluating and enhancing existing processes
- Approximately 25% travel commitment
- Understands and has prior accountability in managing credit losses

Preferred Skills: - BS/BA Degree in Business or related field
- Previous Leadership in multiple Lending Markets with 30+ FTE teams with multi function operations i.e. fulfillment, underwriting, default, Real Estate Sales, service
- Proven experience in judgmental underwriting and risk assessment in Real Estate with the ability to understand and resolve complex legal and/or highly sensitive customer conflicts
- Proven ability in development of leadership at the Manager and UW level
- Can strategically partner with various support groups to help deliver both process, policy and strategy improvements
- Can build and or partner with Training teams for new processes and strategies and can deliver timely results through the change control process
-Having extensive knowledge using MSP or Fidelity systems of record
