Legal Assistant (Sports Management/Finance/Admin)

Our company is looking for a qualified, driven Legal Assistant. This is an opportunity to be part of a great success story, as our company continues to impact the business like no other company has.

What will I do at this company?

  • Provide administrative support to a limited number of assigned attorneys (e.g. create and maintain legal files, draft and/or format correspondence, manage calendars, meetings and contacts; coordinates travel and expenses, etc.)
  • Provide support to the Legal team by preparing form contracts for attorney review, including but not limited to NDAs, athlete endorsement, sponsorship and outfitter agreements
  • Maintain the status of current and outstanding contracts and attend regular meetings with attorneys to review the status of their assigned contracts and to assign new contracts to team members
  • Gather initial information, draft, review and send to attorney for review agreements and rules regarding prize promotions, sweepstakes, contests, and discounts
  • Assist as needed with lease documents, sales representative agreements, and vehicle claims
  • Work with team members in the business units for feedback and direction on agreements; serve as an additional point of contact for the business units in conjunction with other Legal team members
  • Maintain records and create filing system and other information management techniques for legal matters
  • Assist in improving processes for online forms
  • Assist in updating and keeping current the libraries for contracts, athlete profiles, and prize promotions
  • Perform research and analysis of routine legal issues
  • Work independently and with the team on special projects
  • Assist with advertising review

    Education and/or Experience

    Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Computer Skills

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Word Processing software.
