Department - Legal
Job Summary The Legal Account Representative I is responsible for locating and contacting customers and securing payment with charged-off accounts and qualifying accounts for legal review.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities .Understand and demonstrate the principles of the Company's Mission, Vision and Values.
.Generate outbound and receive inbound phone calls from customers and/or third parties for purpose of recovering charged off receivables within the Legal Department.
.Review and analyze account information in order to establish the best possible re-payment plan for AACC and the customer.
oFollow-up with customer to ensure payment is received.
.Route customer accounts when appropriate disposition based on status to ensure necessary procedures are completed.
.Adhere to FDCPA and state and federal laws and regulations.
.Achieve required score on FDCPA test.
.Achieve required scores for Legal Account Level I on all mandatory tests.
.Meet/exceed all assigned metrics/goals for a Legal Account Representative Level.
.Comply with policies and procedures as required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities .Education: High School Diploma or equivalency required.
.Experience: Collections experience preferred.
.Language/Communication/Interpersonal: Ability to read, write and speak fluent English. Ability to work in a team environment. Good negotiation skills with ability to use direct persuasion. Ability to obtain complete debtor information. Ability to communicate information effectively and in a professional manner.
.Analytical: Detailed oriented. Ability to link information and use an organized approach. Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages).
.Technical: Ability to use standard office equipment. Basic computer and collections software skills ability to use a keyboard and calculator. Ability to efficiently manipulate the phone system and dialer. Basic understanding and use of updates, triggers and other skiptracing resources.
.Supervisory: N/A
Other: Basic knowledge of FDCPA . Basic understanding of legal processes for state and department of collections.

Work Environment Works in a clean, well-lit, well-ventilated, fast-paced, highly energized office environment.

Other Work Requirements Required to work one late shift per week plus one late Friday shift per month, required to work the last Saturday of each month and one additional Saturday per month. Required to work extended hours the last day of each month.
