Title: Junior Accountant
Reports to: CFO
Salary: $40,000
Position: Full-Time
Job Summary:
Local bank is seeking a Junior Accountant. Ideal candidates will have a degree in accounting OR 6-8 years of experience in a bank or financial institute. This is a full-time, temp to hire position.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Regulatory reporting
- Call Report
- QCD (FHLB)
- FR2900
- FR Y-6 and FR Y-8
Preparation of financial reports for Board of Directors
Maintain funds management position for the bank
Manager of Wire Transfer
Process bank investment transactions
Manage securities pledging for public funds
Internal audits
Reconciliation of multiple General Ledgers accounts
Manage A/P
Fixed Asset accounting
Additional tasks as needed
Experience:
Degree in Accounting or similar field OR 6-8 years of experience in a bank or financial institution.
The professional hired will not be responsible for the direct supervision of any staff.
Knowledge and Abilities:
- Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision.
- Ability to handle and resolve challenging problems.
